Gazette Notification
Once placing a newspaper Advertisement, and applying for the Gazette notification, the Gazette of India publish a new name. You need to wait for it.

If you have completed the above three steps. Carry the important documents to Submit your application.
Passport Name Change Process Online
Step 1: Register on the Passport Seva Online Portal
Visit the official website of Passport Seva ( https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/) and register.
Step 2: Fill Out the Passport Application Form
After registration, click “Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport.” and Fill out the details correctly.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
After filling in all the information upload the necessary documents such as Proof of current address, Proof of identity and Proof of name change. You need to Schedule an Appointment at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
Step 4: Pay the fees and Visit the Passport Seva Kendra
Pay your name change fees online and on the scheduled date, visit Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) to carry original documents for verification.
Step 5: Biometric Data Collection
At Passport Seva Kendra, biometric data will be collected and Your application reference number or ARN. After the completion, the Updated Passport will be dispatched to your address.
